Christmas Social
The Christmas Social has been an annual tradition of the Whalers for as long as I have been involved in the club and longer. I remember my first one at Susan Sparks home and it was a blast! What better combo than merriment, good people, and good food!
This year Mike Maguire and Marti Maguire will open their home to us to celebrate the holidays and enjoy a well deserved opportunity to socialize off the pool deck. This is a potluck social so we are asking everyone to coordinate with Marti and/or myself on dishes.

What: Christmas DWMSC Potluck Supper
When: Saturday, December 3th – drop in any time after 5:00 pm.
Where: Check your email for the details.
Who: Any current DWMSC Member plus one guest.
Details: Please RSVP to Chris (social@dwmsc.com) or Marti (registrar@dwmsc.com) with what you are planning to bring to contribute to the dinner and how many people will be attending. This is BYOB.

Bring a Buddy Night And Social
Ever been asked about Masters Swimming? Do friends/family wonder what it is you do for 3h a week at the pool? Know anyone who is looking for a new fitness activity? If so then this Thursday, Sept 29th, is for you. Here is a chance for you to show off Masters Swimming. Bring you family member, friend, co-woker, workout buddy for a free trail of Masters. For each buddy you bring, your name will be entered into a draw to win a term of free swimming. Tickets for this are $20 normally!
Following the swim we will have a social at Banook Canoe Club (just around the corner from the pool) where a cash bar will be available. Also some draw prizes and a few munchies.

Speedo Swim Suit Order
In need of a new swim suit? Looking for something that is going to last? Order a Whalers branded Speedo Endurance+ swimsuit! These suits last much longer than your normal Lycra suits. You can order online at: http://www.dwmsc.com/equipment/speedo-order-form/
- All prices include tax and shipping.
- Orders must be placed by end of day (11:59pm), Thursday, Oct 6, 2011.
- Orders must be prepaid in full with cheques made out to DWMSC and received no later than end of swim practice Tuesday, Oct 11, 2011 to be processed.
- There will only be one team order of Speedo gear per term. Prices cannot be guaranteed for future orders.
- Samples will be available to view on Sept 29th before the swim on deck and at the Bring a Buddy social after at Banook Canoe Club.

Corn Boil Social
We are planning our first social of the season. It will be a down east corn boil and details of the event have been emailed to everyone.
Please join us for this first event to see your fellow swimmers with their clothes on.
