
Why Masters Swimming?
Masters Swimming is a coached, organized, adult program intended to promote fitness through the sport of swimming. Our goal is to help you get a great workout, improve your swimming skills, and make friends. We welcome adults of all ages and swimming abilities so you do not need to be an expert to join. Masters Swimmers comprise all types of athletic and non athletic participants including casual swimmers, triathletes, fitness seekers and even former world champions.
You don’t have to be fast or competitive to be a Masters Swimmer. It is open to and designed for anyone who can complete a few simple lengths of a pool non-stop. Individual goals vary and may include swimming a distance faster, entering a master’s competition (100% optional), mastering a stroke, building endurance, or just staying in shape.
In addition to receiving the support of a coach to plan practices and improve your strokes, you will benefit in many other ways.
